Festival of Volunteers

Find Meaning at the Festival of Volunteers

Need some meaning in your life?  Why not get involved in your community?

If a new year has you thinking about ways to make a difference in your world, the 9th Annual New Westminster Festival of Volunteers is the place for you.

On Saturday January 29 over 40 non-profit organizations will come together at the Royal City Centre on 6th and 6th in New Westminster from 9:30 to 3:30.   From working with children to rescuing stray cats, from visiting seniors to helping immigrant families adjust to a new home, from community gardening to farmer’s markets, the New Westminster Festival of Volunteers has an opportunity for everyone.

The Festival of Volunteers also features a full day of entertainment at the Main Stage, including an original play by local thespians Julian Walker and Tabatha Visutskie, and dancing from the Wild West CanCan Dancers.

Last year the Festival raised over 12,000 hours in volunteer contributions for 2010, helping our local non-profits get their good work done.
